Editorial policy
The magazine aims for calm explanation, visible evidence and clear limits.

A page should answer one recognisable question. It should identify the vessel class, geography, period or regulatory scope when those details change the answer. A sourced fact, an interpretation and a recommendation are not written as the same thing.
Corrections are made at the point of error and dated when they change meaning. Current regulatory and market passages are reviewed against the official source rather than left to age silently.
Commercial content is separate from editorial judgement. A sponsored contribution must be marked where it appears and its links must carry the appropriate attribute.
